FAQs

PRODUCT MATERIALS & GEAR QUESTIONS

“D” stands for Denier, which measures fabric thickness and durability. Higher denier fabrics are generally stronger and more abrasion resistant.

“T” stands for Thread Count, which refers to the number of threads woven into the fabric.

Many of our tents, chairs, sleeping systems, and accessories are designed with lightweight and compact portability in mind for backpacking and outdoor travel.

"PU-coating" refers to a layer of polyurethane (PU) that is applied to tent fabrics to enhance their waterproof properties. Polyurethane is a synthetic resin that, when applied as a coating, creates a waterproof barrier on the fabric. This coating helps prevent water from penetrating the material, thereby keeping the interior of the tent dry even in wet conditions.

Yes. Some OneTigris camping products may contain materials such as metal components, coatings, or textiles that fall under California Proposition 65 regulations.

California requires businesses to provide a warning when products may expose users to certain chemicals, even at extremely low levels that are safe for normal use.

SLEEPING GEAR QUESTIONS

Care instructions vary by material. Wool blankets and insulated camping blankets may require gentle cleaning or spot cleaning. Always follow the product care instructions.

R-Value measures how well a sleeping pad or camping mat resists heat loss and provides insulation from the cold ground. A higher R-Value means better insulation and more warmth during camping, backpacking, and winter outdoor use.

Yes. Many camping sleeping pads are tested using the ASTM F3340 standard, which provides a consistent way to measure thermal resistance and compare insulation performance between products.

To extend the lifespan of your sleeping pad, store it in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and moisture. For self-inflating sleeping pads, it is best to store them unrolled with the valve open to help maintain the foam’s performance and insulation.

Before storage:

1.Make sure the sleeping pad is completely dry
2.Clean off dirt and debris
3.Avoid placing heavy items on top of it
4.Do not keep it compressed for long periods
Proper sleeping pad storage helps maintain comfort, insulation, and long-term durability for camping and backpacking use.

CAMPING FURNITURE QUESTIONS

Many OneTigris camping chairs use reinforced aluminum frames and durable waterproof fabrics designed for outdoor use. Weight capacity varies by model.

Most camping chairs are made from durable nylon or polyester fabric that resists wear and dirt
To clean your camping chair safely:
First, test any cleaning method on a small, hidden area to avoid fabric damage
Use a soft brush to remove dust, sand, and loose dirt
For stains, mix vinegar and water, lightly spray the area, and gently scrub with a soft brush or cloth
Wipe with warm water to remove any residue
Dry thoroughly with a towel and allow the chair to air dry completely before storage
Always make sure your camping chair is fully dry before folding and storing to prevent mold, odors, and fabric damage.

Most camping tables can handle warm cookware and outdoor cooking use, but placing extremely hot pots or stoves directly on the surface may damage the tabletop material. Using heat protection is recommended.

Stains - Use mild detergents with water, and a soft brush or sponge to wipe/scrub off stains.
Soap Residue - Use a wet towel with clean water to wipe off any soap residue.
Drying - Hang itme outdoors or in a well-ventilated area. AVOID DIRECT SUNLIGHT.
Patch Panels - Close all the panels with hook patches, and/or put your gear in a mesh laundry bag, and use the gentle cycle with regular detergent. Air dry and avoid direct sunlight. To remove dirt, one can use a shallow brush or tweezers to catch most of the debris. When clear of dirt, the panel should stick again.

It is NOT recommended to machine wash OneTigris gear. Spray it down, and use warm water if necessary. Wipe off dirt and substance with non-abrasive tools such as a toothbrush.

Regular cleaning of buckles and D-rings is also very important. After each use, take a dry cloth to wipe clean metal surfaces; should signs of material oxidation occur, use a small amount of toothpaste to gently cleanse the surface.

First and foremost, use a tent groundsheet to help keep your tent clean and protected from abrasive surfaces. After use, brush/shake out debris and dirt.

Do NOT machine wash tents and tarps. Use mild, non-detergent soap with a soft brush or sponge and cold water to clean the surfaces. Then, remove the soap residue with a clean, damp cloth. Lastly, dry out the tent/tarp while avoiding direct sunlight before storage. Note that camping gear should be stored in dry and cool areas; avoid storage in hot, humid areas.

Airing out your sleeping bag before, during and after each trip is crucial to shelf life extension. Do NOT dry clean, bleach, or use softeners. Get your sleeping bag professionally laundered or hand wash with mild, non-detergent soap and cold water. When hand washing, leave to soak for 1-4 hours depending on how dirty the sleeping bag is. Press out water after and air dry while avoiding direct sunlight before storage somewhere dry and cool; avoid storage in hot, humid areas.

It is NOT recommended to machine wash OneTigris gear. However, if absolutely necessary, during washing, ensure all zippers and velcro tabs are secured. Use mild, non-detergent soap on a gentle cycle and set to a cold or warm machine wash. Press out water after and air dry while avoiding direct sunlight before storage somewhere dry and cool; avoid storage in hot, humid areas.

OneTigris Camping hammocks and top/under-quilts can be machine washed in a mesh laundry bag, using gentle cycle with mild, non-detergent soap. Remember to close all the panels with hook patches. Press out water and then air dry while avoiding direct sunlight before storage somewhere dry and cool; avoid storage in hot, humid areas.
